LEGAL NOTICE TO MISSOURI RICE PRODUCERS:
Please take notice that the Director of Agriculture will be conducting an election to fill three positions on the Missouri Rice Merchandising Council Board of Directors pursuant to Chapter 275, RSMO 2000, as amended.
One director will be elected to represent the area of Bollinger, Dunklin, Scott & Stoddard, one director will be elected to represent the area of Butler and Ripley and one director will be elected to represent the area of Mississippi, New Madrid and Pemiscot.
Any qualified producer may be nominated and have his/her name placed on a ballot provided he/she presents to the Director of Agriculture a nominating petition signed by at least 5% of the rice producers from his/her area by December 5, 2025.
Any rice producer is eligible to vote in the election by registering at his/her respective Farm Service Agency (FSA) office prior to December 5, 2025. It is not necessary to register if you have participated in previous Missouri Rice Merchandising Council elections.
If more than one person is nominated to run in an area, the Missouri Department of Agriculture will mail ballots to registered producers in the above named counties on January 12, 2026. Ballots must be postmarked by January 30, 2026 to be counted as valid votes.
